A content calendar for Dec 2026 to Nov 2027 with holidays checked against the Bank of Thailand announcement, a prep start date for each, post types per period, a payday test and a Google Sheets template.

Every holiday, plenty of shops start thinking about captions after everyone else has already posted. This calendar tells you what is coming each month and when to start preparing. It covers 12 months, Dec 2026 to Nov 2027. Every holiday in the table is checked against the Bank of Thailand (BoT) announcement or a calendar named in the article.

Key takeaways

  • Use the 12-month table as the big plan and start prepping about 3 weeks before each date
  • Holidays are checked against the BoT list; check marketplace sale days in the app again
  • Payday has no confirmed effect on sales; test it on your own shop for at least 3 cycles

NoteChecked Oct 2026

2027 holidays follow BoT announcement No. 37/2569 (published 25 Aug 2026), summarised by TNN Thailand and Thairath. 2026 holidays come from ThaiJobsGov and Kapook. Chinese New Year, Children's Day and Loy Krathong 2027 come from Kapook and myhora. Check the official announcement again before use, since the Cabinet can add special holidays.

How to use this calendar: start 3 weeks before the date

The calendar says which days matter, but what gets posts out on time is counting back 3 weeks from each one. That is enough to come up with ideas, shoot photos or clips, and leave one round for fixes. The table below already has the start dates.

  1. Look at next month

Open the table, find the coming month and see which days relate to your product or customers. You do not need every day. Pick the ones where customers actually buy or ask.

  2. Set a prep reminder

Use the date in the Prep start column and set a reminder. On that day write down just 3 things: the post, its date, and the photo or clip you need.

  3. Split posts into 4 phases

Prep, teaser, the day itself and after. See the section on matching posts to phases.

  4. Leave room for your own dates

Opening day, anniversaries or your product season go into the blank rows of the template at the end.

  5. Review at month end

See which posts got saves, chats or link taps and note them for next year.

12-month calendar: key dates and prep start

The table is split into two halves. Holidays shown are bank holidays per the BoT. Days that are not holidays (such as Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day and Loy Krathong) are marked as not a holiday. 12.12 and 11.11 are campaign names marketplaces tend to use, not official days, so check the app before planning.

TipNov 2026

November 2026 has the 11.11 campaign on Wed 11 Nov (a marketplace campaign name, not an official day), Loy Krathong on Tue 24 Nov (not a bank holiday) and Black Friday on Fri 27 Nov (a shop campaign name, not an official day). For Loy Krathong ideas see Loy Krathong captions and content ideas.

WarningBank and government differ

This table uses bank holidays. Government offices and private companies can differ on some days. In 2026, for example, the Royal Ploughing Ceremony (Wed 13 May) and Buddhist Lent (Thu 30 Jul) were government-only. For Asalha Bucha 2027, some sources put the government substitute on 20 Jul. If you ship on carrier or bank working days, check the latest announcement before telling customers when you are closed.

Match posts to phases: 4 phases around each date

Each key date does not need the same post. Split it into 4 phases with 1 to 3 posts each. The table works for every date in the calendar.

Post types per phase

Phase

Post type

Example work

Prep (3 weeks to 1 week before)

Set the scene, inform, answer questions

Say until when you take advance orders; post a gift checklist

Teaser (1 week before to the day before)

Reveal a product or promo, count down

Short clip of the product, a gift set, packaging samples

The day itself

Sell and answer chats fast

Repeat the order cut-off and which days carriers are closed

After

Thank, show reviews, recap

Customer review post (ask permission first) and next month's plan

Payday: test it on your own shop, it is not a conclusion

Many people believe customers spend more from the end of the month to the start of the next because salaries have arrived. But we found no official data confirming that general shops sell more around payday, and each company pays on a different day. Treat it as a hypothesis you can test, not a rule to follow.

  1. State the hypothesis clearly

Write one sentence, for example: sales posts between the 25th and the 1st get more chats than mid-month.

  2. Pick the same type of post in 2 periods

The same product, format and time of day, placed in different parts of the month so they can be compared.

  3. Note the numbers tied to buying

Use app data such as chats, saves and link taps, not just likes.

  4. Repeat for at least 3 months

One round could be the promo or that product. If 3 rounds show the same pattern, then adjust the plan.

Leave room for your own business dates

The festival calendar is for everyone, but the days your customers buy may differ. Add your own, such as a course start date, the rainy season for an umbrella shop, or the shop's anniversary.

Business dates worth noting in the calendar

Done 0/6

ExampleExample: invented shop

An invented plant shop adds 3 of its own dates: the start of the rainy season, the day a new batch of plants arrives, and the shop's anniversary. It sets the prep start 3 weeks before each, just like the dates in the main table.

Template to copy into Google Sheets

Copy the header row into cell A1 of Google Sheets, then add a row for each date you choose. It works for a yearly plan or a monthly one.

Calendar header row

Month | Key date | Prep start | Prep post | Teaser post | Day-of post | After post | Owner | Done

Row to fill in

{month} | {date name} | {prep start date} | {prep post name} | {teaser post name} | {day-of post name} | {after post name} | {owner name} | {yes or not yet}

For example, a Mother's Day row reads: Aug 2027 | Mother's Day 12 Aug | 22 Jul | gift checklist | gift set clip | order cut-off post | thank-you post | Fai | not yet (names and posts are invented examples).

FAQ

Do I have to post for every holiday

No. Pick the days your customers actually buy or ask about. 4 to 6 dates a year is enough to start; use the rest for regular evergreen content.

How long before a holiday should I start preparing

About 3 weeks, the number used in this table so you have time to plan, shoot and fix. If the product takes long to make or ship, start earlier.

Does payday really raise sales

There is no confirmed data for general shops, and each company pays on a different day. Test it on your own shop for at least 3 months and compare chats or link taps.

Are government and bank holidays different

Mostly the same, but a few days differ. The Royal Ploughing Ceremony, for example, is government-only. Check the latest announcement before telling customers.

Does the calendar need updating

Check twice a year: once after next year's holidays are announced, and again before each new quarter, since the Cabinet can add special holidays.

Summary

Use the 12-month table for the big plan, set the prep start 3 weeks before each date, and split posts into 4 phases. For payday, test on your own shop before believing it.
